Ladies report

Once again the Ladies 1s put in a performance of great potential against experienced opposition. An extremely competitive 1st half saw Harleston Magpies take an early lead but Southgate came back hard and scored their first goal of the season courtesy of  Lucy Sheffield who was quickest to a short corner rebound. The team was extremely close to going in to half time 2-1 up. The first 15 minutes of the 2nd half were where Southgate lost this match but heads didn’t drop and our Ladies looked the more likely to score in the last 15 minutes. St Albans away this coming Sunday

A good 4-0 win for our Ladies 2nd team over Reading saw the team move up to 4th place in Division 3A. After a slightly slow to the season things looking much better.

The Ladies 3s faced hendon and mill hill with a nice morning game.
Having gone down 1-0 against the run of play they managed to pull one back by half time. Hendon took the score to 2-1. Southgate put lots of pressure on them and the goal came from a short corner which Laura made sure went over the line.  Match ended 2-2.
