Having been bottom of the table six weeks ago a fantastic unbeaten run has take the Ladies up to 8th in Division 1 of the Middx League. Ladies 4s recorded their biggest win of the season beating Eastcote 4s away by 9 goals to nil. There was a hat trick for Hannah, a goal apiece for Megan and Julie, 2 for Danielle and 2 for Magda, who shared the accolade of Woman of the Week with Ella Sherring

Despite being the stronger team with the majority of possession, the ladies threes lost 2-1 away at Teddington. The result simply came down to outcomes in the D. Teddington converted two from three good chances on goal. Yet Southgate only converted one despite entering the D on numerous occasions. Disappointing score, but the team will come back next week with fire and a goal hungry attitude. Goal scorer was Gaby G who managed to pop in past the keeper during a scrap on the line, and MoM was Jess who put in 120 per cent effort on and off the ball.

We played some great hockey bolstered by a strong midfield of Annette, Helena and Megan. This freed up the forwards to get high and exert sustained pressure on Old Uxonians able defence. Charlotte was MOM for saving two P flicks. Julie was joint second for two reverse stick goals on pen corner rebounds. Helena shared second place for working like a Trojan throughout and totally skilling the oppo up the left. Fives move up to 5th in the league, just behind W Hampstead on goal difference.
