W3’S SCORE A MIGHTY 4 GOALS IN COMEBACK FROM 0-0 HALFTIME SCORE.

Despite not remembering anything about any of the games I play in, I’ve somehow found myself tasked with writing another match report for the second week running.

Good news though – I do remember marginally more about this week’s game than last week’s, including: the name of the opposition (West Herts); the score of the game (we won 4-1); the fact that it was 0-0 at half time despite us having multiple chances (their goalie was really good); that we went 1-0 down (is it fair to say we were a little lacklustre and sleepy?!) before coming alive and putting in one of the best team performances that I’ve seen us have (not that I can remember other games, but I do know this one was pretty good!); and finally, that we put our loyal supporters (and ourselves for that matter) through a rather stressful game (thank you for coming and sticking with us!).

There were some excellent performances from many of the team, with particular shout outs to Lily and Liv (we absolutely love having you back), and to our women of the week, the game changing Brella and Sydney. Who scored those 4 goals, I couldn’t tell you (except mine of course!). In my defence, I am old and it is hard to see from the back! But well done whoever you are. This was a team performance that Cob would have loved…
